"For years after getting out of the military I was stuck in a pattern without realizing it. I would gain a significant amount of weight, then do some sort of intense short term workout program over and over again until I trimmed down, and then go back to my normal routine until I gained it all back again. I learned nothing. I changed nothing... ...What does the SwoleFam mean to me? Consistency and support. Doing something every single day that inches me closer to my goals has changed my entire life. Literally. Every aspect of my life has been improved. The before is me at my heaviest (254 lbs), and the after is me having reached my weight loss goal (149 lbs). I'm 5'4". I spent my younger years as someone you'd identify from 50 yards away as being "average". I've spent the last 15 years or so being someone you'd identify from 50 yards away as being "obese". My goal now is to spend the rest of my life as someone you'd identify from 50 yards away as being "someone who clearly works out." I've got a long way to go, but I'm not in a hurry.
