Episode 3: What Do You Notice About...YOU?

Act to Live - Un podcast de Scott Palasik & Jaime Michise

Summary:  In this episode of the ACT to Live podcast, Scott begins by asking Jaime a perplexing question - How long does it take you to brush your teeth? Jaime and Scott then introduce the concept of mindfulness - the act of paying attention on purpose and becoming more aware of what is happening right now, in this very moment. In an effort to be more mindful, we can practice observing internal behaviors (e.g., thoughts, emotions), as well as external stimuli (e.g., actions, physical feelings, our environment). Scott and Jaime talk further about the difficulties that can accompany the practice of observing - as most of us often experience an automatic tendency to judge our own thoughts, emotions, and actions.     ACTion Question of the Week: Complete this sentence...This week, I observed ____________________ about me with ____________________.   On our next episode of ActToLive, join us in a conversation about our automatic tendencies to judge ourselves.
