Episode 229 - Sixty-five and Counting

In this episode, we talk about aging. My 65th birthday is two weeks from the day I recorded this, and I took time to reflect on what that means. Am I old yet? I guess that depends on how you define old. If I expect to live to 70, then yes, I am old. But if I expect to live to 100, then I’m in the middle. More important than the number is the perspective. This is the end of the beginning, not the beginning of the end. My most productive and fruitful years are right in front of me. You and I both know we came from somewhere, and this is just a way station. Then death is nothing but a door, and we have every reason to rejoice when each year adds another ring to our tree of wisdom.
