Women Behind the Curtain: María Orosa

María Ylagan Orosa (1893-1945) was a Filipino food technologist and war heroine. She used food preparation and preservation techniques to create and package locally-grown foods. Her work nourished the Filipino people and saved the lives of thousands during World War II.
