“There’s a saying that digestion actually starts in your brain. If you’re very stressed, uptight or thinking about other things, and then that’s the point at which you eat, your brain isn’t sending the correct signals to your digestive system to process and digest that food, so you’re not as likely to be getting what you need from that food.” Angela Walker holds a Masters of Science in Nutritional Medicine and she is also a TIGNUM coach which means she has deep expertise in the total integration of mindset, nutrition, movement, and recovery. Angela is trained in the functional approach to nutrition and she inspires clients to think differently about the power of food. She is an author of a book highlighting many nutritional case studies where she exposes the complexity of the human body, how we are all so individually unique, and how our relationship with the food choices we make impacts our energy, brain performance, resilience, and happiness. Her research and experience make her a vital part of our research and development as well as our coaching teams. In this conversation, Scott and Ange dive into the always-evolving research around nutrition and cover some of our most frequently asked questions around eating for optimal performance including:What is the link between a person’s mindset and their food choices? How can we support our immune function with smarter nutrition? Is intermittent feeding the best choice for optimal health?  Can you reverse your biological age just by changing your nutrition? Why is the thinking about what’s good for us and what’s bad for us always changing?Listen in to discover how you can optimize your personal nutrition choices to be at your best in your critical moments.
