177. Being a 'good student' does NOT equal being good at business

If I had a pound for every person in business who suffered with the 'good pupil' hangover I'd be minted. Can you relate? I hear this from the majority of my clients: I was SUCH a good pupil. And that's great ...in school. I'm sure that served you well:- Not getting into trouble for breaking the rules- Colouring within the lines to get approval- Working harder, doing more & trying your best to demonstrate how deserving you were of those good grades...but think about how those behaviours are actually damaging (or at best, opportunity limiting) in business.Think about the amount of times you have avoided failure at all costs.Think about the s**t you give yourself when you f**k up or get some negative feedback.Think about how you compare yourself to 'them' without one ounce of consideration that your timeline, life circumstances and priorities are normally COMPLETELY different.I'm working with my clients to UNlearn some of the s**t that holds them back ...and I hope this episode does one of two things:1. Kicks you up the arse to book in your enquiry call. IF nothing comes of it, I can at least guarantee you'll leave the call feeling clearer & more grounded in yourself.2. I hope this post serves you to recognise what conditioning you're carrying that you'd like to start releasing. It's a process. It takes time, patience and a WHOLE lot of self love, compassion and grace.Ready?Book an enquiry call: https://calendly.com/thrivelifeandbusiness/discovery-callwww.tlb.org.uk/services --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theinnerworkconversation/message This is a public episode.
