As a south side of Chicago native and child of Ernest Crim Jr. and Melody Crim, Ernest was molded into a person with a relentless spirit and commitment to service due to his parents ability to support his proclivity to diligently seek the answer to every “Why” question he asked. His social awareness increased after he pursued and obtained justice after he and his wife were the targets of a hate crime that went viral in 2016. Since then, he has committed himself to speaking publicly about issues of social justice while also advocating for equitable legislative reform in in the Chicago-area.
