#48 The life of Monte Munro with Dean Munro

Monte Munro was born to a fatal muscular disease, myotubular myopathy x-linked. Although his time on earth was short, little did he know the impact he would have. Dean Munro, his father, joins the podcast this week as we trace back through the steps of little Monte's life in an extremely emotional interview. The unique part of this interview though is the ending, understandably in this situation life would never be the same again but Dean and his family have decided to look at life a little bit differently. Dean took to writing, first of with a very touching poem but then children's book's where he lives out some of Monte's big life events like Monte's first Christmas, Monte's first day at school and Monte's first ever date. Dean now has founded a charity to help find a cure for this disease so hopefully one day, other parent's won't have to experience what they had. Thank you Dean for being so open and honest.
