How would you react if you saw somebody tossing all their tattered old dirty furniture into our church building? How about leaving dead critters in hidden places to stink up the place? How about people partying all night in our parking lot and leaving huge messes behind? Would we put up with that? Yet we are willing to put all kinds of junk into our bodies that don’t belong there. We stink up our bodies with chemicals and unnatural substances. We wake up too early and go to bed too late, leaving our bodies exhausted and unable to recover, our minds constantly frazzled. 1Co 6:19-20 NLT - 19 Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.
