Taraweeh Reflections Day 27 – Ramadan 1444 Hijri 2023

Islam Podcasts - Un podcast de Islam Podcast

On the 27th night of Taraweeh Reflections, the Sheik discusses the importance of saving oneself and one's family from the Hellfire, as commanded by Allah (swt) in Surah At-Tahrim Verse 6. The Sheik emphasizes that fulfilling this responsibility goes beyond providing basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing; it also includes teaching family members about Allah's obligations and prohibitions, as well as enjoining good and forbidding evil. The Sheik highlights the challenges faced in today's society, where the commands of Allah (swt) are not widely implemented, making it more difficult for believers to save themselves and their families from the Hellfire.  However, the Sheik reminds listeners that this responsibility remains doable, and believers must strive to fulfill it by following Allah's commands and guiding their families on the right path. Additionally, the Sheik also highlights the potential roles of family members, specifically wives and children, who can either be a hindrance to one's obedience to Allah or a source of support in following His commands. In a society that may not encourage following Allah's commands, the Sheik emphasizes the importance of staying vigilant and not becoming hopeless or despaired. They stress the need for individuals and families to engage in shaping society to make it easier for them to obey Allah and protect themselves from the fire. As we continue to seek Laylat-ul-Qadr(The Night of Power) this Ramadan, let’s seek forgiveness from Allah(swt) and the hope to save not only themselves and their families but also the rest of humankind from the severe punishment.
