Antisocial personality disorder is a disorder that is characterized by a long-standing pattern of disregard for other people's rights. However, it is not to be mixed with the term asocial which refers to someone who lacks motivation to engage in social interaction. If you call someone an antisocial, you are technically saying they have aspd or psychopathic personality. Make sure to use the right term when refering to someone who just doesn't like to socialize or care about others.
