few thoughts about studying abroad

On se pause et on cause - Un podcast de Pauline

Épisode spécial en anglais, sur mon année d’Erasmus en République tchèque. What was your first impression? Do you feel confident speaking English? How would you describe your time abroad? When I arrived in Czechia, I was really nervous - as well as really eager - by this new country, new language, new scholar system, new everything basically. Now, I would not say that I am completely relaxed with the idea of speaking english and going abroad for whatever reason but I am more confident. Anyways, I wanted to give the floor to other international students who supported me during this year and who experienced - more or less - the same adventure as me. I genuinely hope that this episode will give you strength and faith in yourself to go abroad - if you want to of course.A huge thank you for all your testimonies. And see you soon (maybe), for another episode in English!Bisous <3 PaulineSources:Dewey, Dan P. “Language Learning during Study Abroad: What We Know and What We Have Yet to Learn.” Japanese Language and Literature 41, no. 2 (2007): 245–69. http://www.jstor.org/stable/30198037.Thompson, Amy S., and Junkyu Lee. “The Impact of Experience Abroad and Language Proficiency on Language Learning Anxiety.” TESOL Quarterly 48, no. 2 (2014): 252–74. http://www.jstor.org/stable/43268051.Souto-Otero, Manuel, Jeroen Huisman, Maarja Beerkens, Hans de Wit, and Sunčica Vujić. “Barriers to International Student Mobility: Evidence From the Erasmus Program.” Educational Researcher 42, no. 2 (2013): 70–77. http://www.jstor.org/stable/23462360.Hébergé par Ausha.
