Find show notes at: www.naileditortho.com/slaptears Dr. Laith Jazrawi is the chief of sports medicine at NYU Langone where he is committed to developing techniques that would minimize the recovery period of the patients. His clinical research focuses on developing treatments for complex problems on shoulder, elbow, and knee disorders such as meniscal insufficiency, patellofemoral instability, and ligament injuries. He worked with physiatrists, physical therapists, dietitians, and sports psychologists at NYU Langone's Center for Musculoskeletal Care's Sports Medicine Center to assist athletes recover their strength, balance, and endurance skills. He has made significant contributions to both the clinical and research arenas as an academic sports medicine specialist in order to improve patient outcomes in the surgical therapy of cartilage injuries. Moreover, he serves as team physician for the NYU and Long Island University athletics groups and provides lectures on orthopedic surgery both nationally and internationally. Alse, Castle Connolly's "Top Doctors" series acknowledged him for the New York Metro Area.
