January 24th: Banaz Mahmod Killed (2006) Family traditions and cultures are incredibly important to some. So much so that, time and time again, people end up in situations they aren’t completely happy in or can sometimes cause them harm. On January 24th 2006 a young woman was killed for going against the wishes of her traditional family.
