MANCHILD - SABRINA CARPENTER

Monologato - Un podcast de Filippo Ruggieri

Sabrina Carpenter is turning heads again after sharing a bold and cheeky (see what I did there?) video teaser on social media. On Monday, May 2, the pop sensation previewed her upcoming single, titled “Manchild.” In the teaser clip, Carpenter is seen standing on the side of the road wearing a white crop blouse, short denim cutoffs, and silver stiletto heels. She captioned the post, “this one’s about you!!” The single is set for release on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET and is produced by Grammy Award winner Jack Antonoff. The Bleaches member previously collaborated with Carpenter on her hit “Short n’ Sweet.” As expected, the teaser sent fans into a frenzy. Comments poured in, with one user asking, “WHAT DOES IT MEAN,” and another declaring, “I’m home to pick you up babes, forget them.” One fan summed it up perfectly: “She’s coming to save summer again 😭🙌.” Before the official announcement, fans had already begun speculating about a new release after mysterious billboards appeared in several cities. The billboards, put up by SC Entertainment, featured phrases like “Amen,” “I swear they choose me, I’m not choosing them,” “Hey men,” and, of course, “Manchild.” Several fans believe Carpenter may be following a similar rollout strategy to her surprise release of “Espresso.” She debuted the single live in front of a massive crowd. Could it be that she’ll tease “Manchild” at Primavera Sound Festival? The “Sharpest Tool” singer is scheduled to perform this Friday in Barcelona, Spain. Currently, Carpenter is wrapping up the first leg of her successful Short n’ Sweet tour, which concluded in April. The second leg of the tour is set to kick off in Pittsburgh on Oct. 23. Her sixth studio album, “Short n’ Sweet,” was a major success, propelling Carpenter to new chart heights. Its singles “Please Please Please” and “Espresso” topped the Billboard Global 200, the UK Singles Chart, and the Billboard Hot 100. These were her first No. 1 hits. The album earned eight Grammy nominations, winning for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
