Episode 94 - A Heart for the Nations with ILD Kay West

Moms in Prayer Podcast - Un podcast de Moms in Prayer, Int'l and Christian Parenting - Les lundis

What propels a woman to leave the safety and familiarity of America and move to a country with staggering poverty and a soaring HIV rate?  How do women who cannot read or write pray Scripture over their children, homes and community?  And why should you be concerned with the plight of mothers incarcerated in countries around the globe?  Today, Lee sits down with Arizona State Team Member, International Leadership Developer, and Moms in Prayer’s Global Prison Ministry Liason, Kay West, to discuss all these things and the big God we serve.  About our Guest: Kay West is a grateful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ because of His grace and mercy. In addition to her roles with MIPI as International Leadership Developer for Southern Africa, Global Prison Ministry Liaison, and AZ State Team International Liaison, Kay also serves as president of Swaziserve, Inc., a ministry she and her husband, John, founded in 2009 before selling or giving away almost everything they owned to serve as missionaries in eSwatini and South Africa. Many stories of the amazing work God did during that time can be found in Kay's book, "Refiner's Fire--My Walk with God in the Kingdom of Swaziland." Swaziserve continues to share the Gospel and the love of Jesus through "hands and feet" programs overseen by local Africans and administered by Kay and John, who currently reside in their "for now" home in Phoenix, AZ where they live with their African Great Dane, Zeke, and intrepid world traveler Barney, a Dachshund mix.   For more information about the ministry of the West family in Swaziland, please contact Kay at [email protected] Brand NEW- Praying with Kids Prayer Sheet- “God our Savior”- https://momsinprayer.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/pdfGodOurSaviorPrayerSheet3.17.2020.pdf Moms in Prayer International- www.MomsInPrayer.org
