BREAKING NEWS: Pittsburgh Steelers Sign Diontae Johnson to GREAT 2-Year, $36.71M Contract Extension

Chris Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast. The news broke that the Pittsburgh Steelers signed wide receiver Diontae Johnson to a two-year contract extension worth $36.71 million. The extension keeps Johnson in Pittsburgh until he's 29 years old and gives the Steelers their No. 1 receiver for the first years of Kenny Pickett's career, while also giving Johnson a well-paying deal that lets him retest the WR market before he's 30 years old. The deal is a big move by new general manager Omar Khan, who saw Johnson at Steelers training camp during his hold-in. Now, Johnson is one of the highest paid players on the team and is set to return to practice in full just a little over a week before the Steelers' first preseason game.
