đ Hello hello my dear listeners! So happy to be back for season 2. As you know, JINS Podcast was born about a year ago, reaching 150,000 streams for more than 60 episodes! Iâve been discussing very specific matters around feminism, sexuality, gender and love within the Arab and/or Muslim communities. I ended season 1 talking about the inward dimension of Islam, how Sufis are spreading out a vision of Islam as a religion of peace and love and how women are substantially and ontologically equal to men in respect of humanity. I wanted to start this new season with a quote from the âGreat Masterâ Ibn Arabi, probably the most influential Muslim scholar of all time, who was a mystic, poet and philosopher and who is at the origin of Sufism, which is the mystical expression of Islamic faith. âHumanity unites male and female, and in it maleness and femaleness are contingencies, not a human realityâ. Therefore, he agreed that women should be able to lead the prayer unconditionally and praised womenâs spiritual aptitude. đ„ I had the opportunity to talk with an amazing human being: Ani Zonneveld. Ani was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She now lives in LA, California. Sheâs a successful singer, song-writer, activist and writer. She even participated in the writing of Grammy-winning songs! She is also the president and founder of MPV (Muslims for Progressive Values), a non-profit organization in the United States that creates inclusive communities that welcome and support interfaith marriages, gay marriages, gender & sexual minorities. She has been constantly raising awareness around Islam as a religion of peace. Last but not least, sheâs one of the most-known women imams in the world!đ Season 2 produced by Kikina Studio HĂ©bergĂ© par Acast. Visitez acast.com/privacy pour plus d'informations.
