Betty Cherniak was raised in Houston and received her MA from University of Washington. Betty converted in 1980, had 5 children, moved to Baltimore in 1994 and worked as copy editor for the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) for 18 years. She is the current President of the Glen Neighborhood Improvement Association and has served as president for the last 8 years. Listen as we discuss her passion for grassroots community organizing and the importance of engaging the Orthodox community.
