Episode 5: Valentina Colasuonno-Meet my Italian Teacher!

Ciao tutti! If you know me, or if you’ve read my book , AfterLIFE, you know how important my experience of learning Italian and connecting with that part of my heritage has been to my growth and happiness.  Valentina Colasuonno has been there for most of that journey helping me not only learn the language, but also helping me understand the history, culture, and food of Italy. For just over 3 years we have spent 2 hours a week nearly every week speaking Italian.  She patiently listens as I stumble my way through the learning process as I’ve tried to talk about some of the ideas that eventually made their way into my book or sometimes we just talk about pasta, pizza, travel, or cats! In this episode we dive right into all kinds of topics, just like in our lessons except for today we spoke in English, with only a few dashes of Italian. Many friends have been curious about my  lessons, so I wanted to introduce my teacher to you all.  Our lessons are as light and easy as the conversation you’ll hear in this episode.
