Co-Moderator – James MacNay James lives with his wife, Cinzia Long, and their son, in Piemonte’s western Alps. He is originally from South East England, where you can find Cuculo, the cheesemonger and Enoteca he part owns. He was first introduced to wine when he worked as an Italian walking tour guide. These days he and Cinzia run MacNay Travel & Wine, operating self-guided walking holidays and small group wine tours in the Italian wine regions. He loves the shared joy of immersion in the wines, walks and myriad treasures of the north west. The first documents attesting the winemaking activity date back to the end of the 20th century, when the winery, managed by grandfather Attilio, had little more than eight hectares. In the 1970s, the reins of the company passed into the hands of his son Marino and later, at the end of the 1980s in line with the generational changeover, his sons Orlando and Attilio took over the business.
