Episode 42: Craig Uhlir on group work

Craig Uhlir is a teacher and performer at iO Theater and The Second City in Chicago. Performing professionally since 1995, he is currently with the comedy troupe Deep Schwa. Craig and I talk about group work and the difference between group scenes and group games. We talk about leaning into an art direction instead of scene direction, group transitions and to play with what you know and don’t worry about what you don’t know. We are also talking about why you should record your shows, the importance of specificity and why you should help your fellow sad improviser to be even more sad.
