This useful article, Super Bowl 2021: brands play it safe but creativity shines through by John Harrington - PR Week https://bit.ly/2Zp4aXc by John Harrington at PR Week, summarised some of the main ones to watch. We talk about a newcomer to the sponsorship pool for the Six Nations. The return of Rugby has also meant the return of online abuse and abuse of women media personalities covering the sport. Maggie Alphonsi and Danielle "Nolli" Waterman received a barrage of sexist abuse on social media and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Bath Prop, Beno Obano on his England debut was targeted by trolls on Instagram. This episode is a little longer than our usual episode because we’re exploring an issue we feel needs to have more discussion - online abuse and trolling. In this episode we speak with journalist and producer Florence Lloyd-Hughes about her experiences within sport and specifically when she has reported on men’s sport. This led to her not only having to report online abuse to the police but also to make her profiles private in order to control her experiences online in a way that helped her get on with her work as well as feel safe. Florence’s work includes working for Women in Sport, Season Zine, Metro, Guardian and BBC London among others.
