Unspoken Sins of the Church: Quietly Led Astray

Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church - Un podcast de Graham Chapel

Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. “Therefore, I urge your, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to the God. This is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will know what God’s will is. His good pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2 Point 1: We Entertain Ourselves to (Spiritual) Death For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. -1 Timothy 4:8 Point 2: We Work Ourselves to (Spiritual) Death Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. -Matthew 11:29 Twelve months later, as the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, he said, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?” Even as the words were on his lips, a voice came from heaven, “This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes.” -Daniel 4:29-32 Point 3: We Obsess Over the Supernatural to (Spiritual) Death Point 4: We SHOULD Seek the Creator Over the Created to Receive Life Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
