All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” -2 Timothy 3:15-17 Point 1: God’s Word is Refuting “He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.” -Titus 1:9 “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.” -Ephesians 4:15 “While our churches seek to respond to the desperate needs of our society, they must continue to remain faithful to the apostolic message (the Word) as it was from the beginning. The right blend of tolerance and intolerance is crucial if we are to help our hurting world without soiling ourselves in the process.” -Dr. Richard Eckley Point 2: God’s Word is Rewarding “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” -John 17:3 “Here I am!
