Solid Foundation: Foundations for Others!

Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Scripture: Ephesians 2:19-22 A Temple for the Lord 19 So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. 20 Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. 21 We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. 22 Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit. Points: You have been brought in as part of the building! The apostles and the prophets laid a foundation for us! Corinthians 3:10 10 Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. Jesus is still the true foundation and cornerstone! I Corinthians 3:11 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. You are laying a foundation for those coming behind you! I Corinthians 3:12 12 Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. Ending: Hebrews 11:9-10 9 And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. 10 Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.
