Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us. Scripture: I Corinthians 3:12-17 12 Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. 13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. 14 If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. 15 But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames. 16 Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in[c] you? 17 God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. Points: You are called to build! Revelation 21:14 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were written the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. Your work is going to be measured and tested! Proverbs 17:3 Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but the Lord tests the heart. I Peter 1:6-7 6 So be truly glad.[b] There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. Those who have put in the work have nothing to hide! Ending: Isaiah 28:16-17 16 Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem,[a] a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken.[b] 17 I will test you with the measuring line of justice and the plumb line of righteousness. Since your refuge is made of lies, a hailstorm will knock it down. Since it is made of deception, a flood will sweep it away.
