As many of you know we don't pretend to be an expert in anything. We are on the same healthy journey as you are. We're doing our best to get healthier and healthier each and every day. When we're optimally healthy, it affects every area of our lives. Our recent struggles have been our own issues with digestion. I'm sure you can relate, indigestion, gas, bloating, irregular bowel movements (sorry to be so graphic but this is Extreme Health Radio!) and more. We've been tested for parasites, got our blood tested and done testing for candida and yeast infections. We still seem to have food sensitivities and our putting together an entire protocol on how to heal digestive issues. Since all disease begins in the colon, we thought why not start there and work backwards? So we have been working on specific protocols for healing our intestines and colon that we're so excited to share as soon as we're done with it! [spp-tweet "All disease begins in the gut - Hippocrates"] Who knew that purple cabbage was so healing to the colon? Apparently it contains l-glutamine which helps to repair and restore the lining inside the colon thus preventing leaky gut and a host of inflammatory immune system issues. A listener in the chat room who was listening live shared his protocol for healing the gut. In fact during the show I referred to this Facebook post... (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); Post by Extreme Health Radio. We also shared this post from our friend Daniel Vitalis the owner of Surthrival about psychedelic mushrooms: "Psilocybin dramatically transformed the participants' brain organization, Expert said. With the drug, normally unconnected brain regions showed brain activity that was synchronized tightly in time. That suggested the drug was stimulating long-range connections the brain normally wouldn't make. After the drug wore off, brain activity went back to normal." We also share the story of a girl Brittany Maynard show is dying of brain cancer and we talked about how a Dr. in Houston has reached out to her in hopes of healing. We'll see where that one goes. We also discussed flotation tanks (isolation tanks or sensory deprivation chambers) and why we love them so much. Trust me, you ABSOLUTELY need to find a float center near you and try it out. Lastly we discussed Archetypes and why they're important to understand in relation to how we're living our lives. Things start to make more sense as you understand that concept further. We hope you enjoyed this show! Please share this show with your friends if you can! Please leave us a review in iTunes if you can along with a rating. That will help tremendously!
