Ruff Riddims takeover with J Milla “Ruff Riddimz is a Bristol based collective and events brand focused on bringing the immersive arts to the rave.” The collective first formed in 2022, with residents performing multi-genre sets at festivals such as Spring Break Amsterdam, Camp Oktoberfest (Munich), and Goodentime. Heavily inspired by the immersive spaces and stages created for these festivals, the attention drew towards bringing this feature to an event. The collective has since hosted a number of events across the Southwest. From Hidden Temple at Crofters Rights featuring RWB, to Shaolin Jungle Sessions at The Crown, Ruff Riddimz are pushing the underground sound of Bristol and transforming venues into conceptual spaces for ravers to get lost in. “Jmilla is a Bristol based DJ and co-founder of immersive events brand Ruff Riddimz. Heavily influenced by the city’s sound system culture, his mixing style covers a multitude of underground genres - from 140 to Jungle and everything in between. Since his debut set in Amsterdam (2022), Jmilla has performed at events across the UK and internationally; from raves in Bristol and London, to festival sets in Munich and the Netherlands, alongside established artists in the scene.” The Skank Engine Bristol based DJ, Producer and Radio Presenter and member of the Ruff Riddims crew The Skank Engine has made a name from himself every since moving to Bristol 2 years ago. Since then he has played his jungle infused neuro style all over the city in venues such as the Lakota, Black Swan & the 02 Academy. With 2023 highlights including 3 festival sets and a 6hour live charity set, skank engine is a name to watch in the coming year.
