She found it helped her be her ‘best self’ more often, and access the insight and balance needed to sustain a pressured career through a series of challenging global and board level positions in her 20s and early 30s. Louise retired from the City in 2002, with the express mission of wanting to enable many thousands to create value and thrive not just in the workplace, but in all areas of their life. Firstly, she established Witherdens Hall, a not-for-profit boutique spa retreat centre at her home in Kent, and then founded Mindfulness at Work in 2010. She is also the Managing Director of Potential Project UK, the UK arm of Potential Project International. Louise works 1:1 with C-Suite leaders offering strategic consultancy, coaching and retreats. She also designs programmes that support global organisations such as Cisco, Coop, LVMH, Unilever and UBS to enable the kind of positive and sustainable cultures that attract talent and unlock potential, purpose and value. For Louise, this doesn’t really feel like work most days, but a great privilege (and joy) at a time when this work is not only desperately needed, but actually now greatly valued.
