This week's guest is London-based session stylist and brand founder Danielle Igor, whose work I fell in love with after The Face magazine included her in its online Beauty Directory. While noticing a certain nostalgia about it, I was struck by the freshness of Danielle's work. Danielle began teaching herself to do her own hair at the age of 9 and today she works with the likes of brands such as Apple, Adidas and Charlotte Tilbury as well as musicians such as Cat Burns, Jorja Smith and Shy Girl. For me, Danielle's work is a celebration of black culture, and in this conversation we discuss cultural appropriation and whether it's necessary that all stylists can do all hair. Along the way Danielle shares her first inspirations and her hopes for the future of her brand Igor Hair. I hope you enjoy this one as much as we did!
