On3’s 2024 College Football Fantasy QB Draft

Andy & Ari On3 - Un podcast de On3

Last year’s On3 Quarterback Fantasy Draft was so easy. Whoever won the game of Rock, Paper, Scissors would to take USC’s Caleb Williams, and we’d be off to the races. And that’s exactly what happened. Jesse Simonton’s paper beat Andy’s rock, and Jesse grabbed the defending Heisman Trophy winner. This year? We struggled to make our first choices. (0:00-1:20) Intro (1:21-4:08) Jesse Simonton joins, recap last year's choices (4:09-5:38) Alabama QB Jalen Milroe (5:39-7:26) Liberty QB Kaidon Salter (7:27-8:48) Rhoback Ad (8:49-11:00) Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel (11:01-14:13) Miami QB Cam Ward (14:14-16:07) Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart (16:08-17:29) USF QB Byrum Brown (17:30-21:03) Kansas State QB Avery Johnson (21:04-23:34) Georgia QB Carson Beck (23:35-25:14) Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders (25:15-29:49) Tennessee QB Nico Iamaleava (29:50-32:34) Arizona QB Noah Fifita (32:35-36:23) Ohio State QB Will Howard (36:24-38:27) LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier (38:28-39:59) Texas State QB Jordan McCloud (40:00-42:09) Texas QB Quinn Ewers (42:10-43:59) West Virginia QB Garrett Greene (44:00-46:11) Missouri QB Brady Cook (46:12-48:05) Kansas QB Jalon Daniels (48:06-51:09) Memphis QB Seth Henigan (51:10-51:59) Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold (52:00-1:00:35) QB's Not Taken (1:00:36-1:02:03) Conclusion But if last year’s QB draft taught us anything, it’s that the picks in the back half of the draft will determine the winner. Andy wiped the floor with Jesse last year mostly because of two players: No. 5 pick Jayden Daniels and No. 9 pick Dillon Gabriel. They were the two most productive players using this scoring system.  Passing touchdown: Six points Every 25 yards passing: One point Rushing touchdown: Six points Every 10 yards rushing: One point Interception thrown: Minus-2 points Fumble lost: Minus-2 points Pick-six thrown: Minus-6 points The scoring system rewards the dual threat QBs who can score on the ground, and we definitely took that into account making our selections this year. Unlike last year, nothing was obvious. And we won’t find out until the games begin whether we used the correct drafting strategy or we overthought the whole thing Want to watch the show instead?
