Every coach has that one game that stands out in their career. For Coach Jim Johnson, that game was played on Wednesday, February 15, 2006. It was that night that Coach Johnson gave the nod to a young man by the name of Jason McElwain. Nicknamed J-Mac by his coach, Jason had served as team manager for three years. J-Mac had always dreamed of playing. Now, on senior night, coach was giving J-Mac an opportunity of lifetime.  What made this evening so special was that Jason is autistic. Coach had watched Jason over the years, witnessed first hand the young man's dedication to being the best manager possible. He inspired his teammates, always encouraging, always challenging. J-Mac had always celebrated the triumphant wins and big plays—now it was his turn. On this episode of Anchored in Education, Coach Jim Johnson joins us to talk about that magical night over thirteen years ago. It changed J-Mac's life, it changed Coach's life, and now is your chance to hear the story that can change your life too.
