Tech talk about Constellation 2.0 with colleagues from Melbourne

Alles ist Film – Der Podcast des DFF - Un podcast de DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum - Les vendredis

In our sixth episode about the ongoing digitization project “Constellation 2.0 // Konstellationen filmischen Wissens”, Lucie Paterson and Sam Maher talk with Sanne Hemmerling about the architecture behind Constellation 2.0. Sam and Lucie have been working for a few years on the original Constellation project at the DFF partner Museum for Screen Culture ACMI in Melbourne, Australia, and both are experts in transforming raw data into an immersive user experience. Sanne explores a prototype of what Constellation 2.0 might look like in the near future. Expert for user experience Lucie explains how the prototype is made and underlines the benefits of the project for both DFF and its visitors. Game developer and coder Sam presents the newly developed XOS – Experience Operating System – and explains the difficult path from accessing and structuring data to translating them into a fun and easy usable story experience for museum visitors.
