A Child Is Born. The Angels Sing.

“And the Grinch, with his grinch-feet ice-cold in the snow, Stands puzzling and puzzling: "How could it be so? “It came in our loneliness. It came in our dread. “It came as too many are dying in bed. “It came without hugs. Without the timpani’s boom. “It came socially distant, home watching on Zoom. “The child is still born, the angels still bring. “Good news of great joy, and so we still sing. “We sing and the mighty are thrown from their seat. “We sing and the hungry have plenty to eat. “We sing in defiance.
