Listening Party: Melissa Aldana's '12 Stars'

To kick off Women's History Month, we celebrate women in jazz by speaking with Grammy-nominated saxophonist Melissa Aldana, whose Blue Note debut album, 12 Stars, comes out on March 4. Aldana, born in Chile and based in Brooklyn, comes from a family of Chilean saxophonists, including her grandfather, who was popular in the Santiago jazz scene in the 1950s. All this week Aldana is also playing her first headlining gig at the famous Village Vanguard, and she joins us for a Listening Party for the album.
