Listening Party: 'A Woman With A Purple Wig' by the Eri Yamamoto Trio

Pianist Eri Yamamoto has been recording albums ever since she moved to New York City from her native Japan in 1995, when she decided to study jazz at The New School. Her latest album, recorded with her trio, is called A Woman With A Purple Wig, inspired by Yamamoto's experience during the pandemic and what it felt like to witness an increase in anti-Asian violence.
