Brooklyn BagelFest, More Kitchen Gadgets, Shad's New Album, Cheesemonger Invitational NYC, A New Staten Island Team

Brooklyn BagelFest allows attendees to sample from bagel purveyors such as Ess-a-Bagel, Bantam Bagels, and Tompkins Square Bagels. Founder Sam Silverman joins us to preview the October 2 event and take calls from listeners on their own favorite bagel joints. Hosts of the Wirecutter series “The Kitchen Report,” Lesley Stockton and Michael Sullivan return to continue the discussion about the current must-have gadgets for any kitchen, some of their old favorites, and they’ll take listener calls. Shad is a Juno Award-winning rapper who has made the Polaris shortlist multiple times and hosts the Netflix docuseries, “Hip-Hop Evolution.” His new album, "TAO," takes on a variety of themes including spirituality, racism, and capitalism. He joins us for a release day Listening Party. Adam Moscowitz, the founder of The Cheesemonger Invitational, which brings together cheese mongers and cheese fans from all over the country, joins us to talk about the all you can eat event. A new minor league baseball team is coming to Staten Island, and the owners are asking for help to pick the new team’s name.
