2022 Debuts: 'My Government Means to Kill Me' by Rasheed Newson

Rasheed Newson is a writer and producer who has worked on shows like "Narcos," "The Chi," and "Bel-Air," and now he's published his debut novel. My Government Means to Kill Me follows the story of a wealthy Black teenager who moves to New York in the 1980s, and becomes involved with the fight against HIV and the ACT UP movement. Newson joins us to discuss the novel as part of our series, "2022 Debuts."
