Rachel Joy Baribeau is an award-winning storyteller, inspirational speaker, author, and the founder of Changing the Narrative. She is also a transformative coach, host of the Joystarters Podcast, and the first female SiriusXM ESPNU host on College Sports Nation.

In 2016, Rachel wrote a piece for GridironNow, expressing her concern about the negative news stories dominating college football. Instead of just voicing her concerns, she took action and developed #ImChangingtheNarrative, a program designed to help student-athletes make better decisions and change their life narratives.

Rachel’s message, which began as a call to purpose, passion, and platform, has evolved over four-plus years and 40 campuses to encompass mental health, daily personal excellence, and interpersonal relationships. This evolution was influenced by her personal experience as a victim of domestic violence.

When she’s not speaking or on tour promoting her book, “Relentless Joy: Finding Freedom, Passion and Happiness (Even When You Have to Fight for It)”, Rachel works to help others find their own passion, purpose, platform, and freedom. Her ultimate goal is to empower others to change their narratives and live a life of relentless joy.
