It’s what happens when we have experiences that we don’t have the capacity to be present for. There are obvious traumas — the things we all know are difficult. And then there is the moment-by-moment way that life nudges us out of our own power, our own authenticity. Ultimately, we are all traumatized to greater and lesser extents through fear and insecurity into living lives that are not our own.
