Why are so many of us still unbanked?

For most people having a bank account, being able to save our money or borrow, whether it's for a personal reason or business venture, is an essential part of life. But nearly 2 billion people around the world have no access to a bank account or digital access to money services. For sub-Saharan Africa the unbanked represent over 60 per cent of the population.
