Being single and achieving the dream of being a parent.

Adopter Stories by Adoption Now - Un podcast de Adoption Now

As an agency we have always welcomed enquiries from anyone that is single and thinking about adoption, in fact around 10% of our adopters each year are single. However, as a group, single adopters can often feel underrepresented at times when it comes to adoption as a whole. This is part of the reason that we wanted to highlight & focus on being single and adopting throughout this month. In previous episodes we have talked to Christopher, Emily, and Zoe about their adoption journeys as single adopters, and we have also spoken to Sharon, one of our own Social Workers about this particular route to adoption. And so, in this final episode in which we focus on being single and adopting, we speak to Lyndsey. She has always wanted to be a mum, however after her marriage sadly ended and finding herself single, she had to think about how she was going to achieve that dream. In this episode we find out about Lyndsey’s adoption journey, how she found the adoption process and completing her family unit. If you are single and thinking that adoption could be the right next step for you then we would love to hear from you.
