Ep. 41: Maize
A History of the Inca - Un podcast de Nick Machinski
Catégories:
Maize, or corn, is grown all over the globe. But it wasn’t always this way. This plant has its origins in southern modern-day Mexico, with its parents being teosinte and tripsacum. But the off-spring of these two parent plants was quite different than the maize we know and love today, much different. In this episode we take a brief look at how maize we know today became what it is. And of course, the Andes have their role to play.If you’d like to support the show monetarily please click the following link: https://www.patreon.com/incapodcast.
