The Black Ball Final

All About... Olympics - Un podcast de BBC Radio 5 Live

The 1985 Embassy World Snooker Final was one of the greatest moments in British sporting history, pitting ageing underdog Dennis Taylor against the young superstar of the game and defending champion, Steve Davis. After going behind 8 frames to nil, Taylor fought back from the brink to level the match at 17 games apiece with one frame left to play. 18 million people sat glued to their televisions as one frame became one ball. In The Black Ball Final, Davis and Taylor return to Sheffield's Crucible Theatre to reminisce about that night, that era, the emotion of victory, the pain of defeat and the friendship that was forged from one of the defining moments of the 1980's.
