Michael Cao founded IC3D in 2012 as a 3D printer design and manufacturing company. IC3D is one of the first 3D printer companies to manufacture their own line of 3D printing filament in-house. For 13 years Michael was a senior mechanical engineer at Honda R&D where he has earned several automotive patents and designs interiors for future products. Michael started his Honda career in 2003 after completing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Oklahoma. While at OU, Michael led the Formula SAE team to design and build race cars for the annual collegiate level competition. Michael was also led the Honda team to redesign the interior of the Acura NSX. He joins the show today to talk through his journey as an entrepreneur and how IC3D is building a fully end to end materials and manufacturing company.
